Get to Know ACA

Familiarize yourself with the Website, mission, core values, and educational philosophy of ACA. Read the "Ten Reasons Not to Enroll at ACA" along with the Family Handbook.

Visit the School

The true culture of our school is best experienced by seeing ACA students in their active learning environment. The ACA Principal and teachers will gladly answer questions as you observe classrooms. We will host three Open House events this Spring. They will be held on February 11th from 2-4 p.m., February 14th from 8-11 a.m., and February 28th from 8-11 a.m.. Visitations are also regularly held Tues. and Thurs, 8 a.m. -noon. Call 334-821-7081 or email to schedule a personal meeting with administrators to address your questions.

Return the completed application packet. This should include the following:

Completed application – New Student Application (one per student)
Report card or assessment form previous year and transcipts from previous schools*
Standardized test scores from previous year (if tested)
Arrange for an educator to complete Student Recommendation form and send directly to ACA
*Homeschooled students should present a summary of coursework completed during the previous year.
Non-refundable application and testing fee of $100


Schedule Student Testing

Once application paperwork and fee are received, an administrator will contact the family and schedule a testing time for the student.

Attend Parent Interview

Following testing, we will contact families to schedule a parent interview. Both (custodial) parents should plan to attend the Interview. Parents should be familiar with Classical education.

Enrollment Decisions

After all application forms are received and reviewed, testing is completed and the student is determined to be adequately prepared for the grade to which he or she is applying, and the parent interview is completed, the Admissions Committee will render a decision regarding admission. Decisions will be sent via email. In cases where students are accepted for admission but a class if full, students are placed on a waitlist and notified when/if an opening becomes available.

Enrollment Form & Commitment Fee

If an offer of admission is made, a completed Enrollment and Financial Contract along with non-refundable commitment fee (10 % of year’s tuition) must be received before a student placement at ACA is secure. The Enrollment form and commitment fee are due within seven (7) days of receipt of acceptance. This date will be listed in the acceptance letter.
If placed on a waiting list, the tuition deposit is due within seven (7) days of notification of an opening.Tuition payments for the balance of the total annual tuition begin in June and continue through May.
