Auburn Classical Academy began in 2007 as a small group of like-minded home-schooling families, meeting in a home one day a week for Latin and Grammar. As these classes grew and friendships blossomed, ACA expanded, adding more classes.  In 2009 we organized as a church school under Alabama Code Section 16-28-7.  At that time, we were blessed that our growing student body was welcomed to meet at a local church facility.  In 2012, recognizing our community’s increasing interest in classical education, ACA partnered with Highlands Latin School and became a partner school of The Classical Latin School Association. In 2015, ACA re-organized as a Private School.  To accommodate growth and facilitate a structure most conducive to learning we began the 2016/2017 academic year located at our current site, in Opelika.
