ACA is governed by a Board of Governors which facilitates the broad vision and philosophy of the school. This team works together to protect the classical and Christian vision of ACA and pave the way for continued growth and success. Members include:

Kelly Gallops Davidson is an attorney with and managing member of Davidson, Davidson, Umbach & Forbus, LLC, a law firm which she founded with her husband, Rick, in 2014. Prior to her return to the practice of law, Kelly served as both a teacher at and Principal of ACA from 2011 until 2014. Rick and Kelly have three sons, all of whom attended ACA. The Davidson family attends Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, where Kelly serves on Altar Guild and has served as a Sunday school teacher, VBS Chair and President of the Day School Board.

Paula Deist is a homemaker and mother of two children who are both students at ACA. She and her husband Jeff relocated their family to Auburn in 2014 for his job at the Mises Institute. Additionally, she is a part-time consultant to the food industry with expertise in new product development and quality assurance. She earned a B.S. in Dietetics/Clinical Nutrition from San Francisco State University and is a professional member of the Institute of Food Technologists. She is of Roman Catholic faith and parishioner at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Auburn. Her hobbies include gourmet cooking and playing tennis.

BJ England is the Director of Business Development for Nutri-Link Technologies, a small software company based out of Atlanta, GA that serves the Public and Private School Industry. He graduated from Auburn University with a B.S. in Management Information Systems and has lived in the Auburn area over 30 years. He is married to Emily and they have 2 boys currently attending ACA. He is a member of Church of the Highlands and serves on several leadership teams along with his wife who is employed full time by the Church. His hobbies include hunting and golf.

Dusty Garnett is married to Keightley and they have four children. He is a District Manager for Nalco Water an Ecolab Company specializing in industrial water treatment solutions. He earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University. After graduation Dusty was on staff with the Navigators focusing on college campus ministry. He and his family are members of Embrace Church where he teaches the pre-school class and serves on the Executive Team as well as the Personnel Committee.

Andy Jordan is a Portfolio Manager at Regions Private Wealth Management in Montgomery, AL, where he is responsible for creating and managing comprehensive asset management strategies for individuals, families, and institutional clients. He graduated from Troy University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Master’s Degree in Business Administration / Finance. After graduation he began his career in public accounting before transferring to a career in investment management that has been his passion for 17 years. He attends First United Methodist Church Opelika where he is currently the acting Treasurer. At FUMC Opelika he serves on numerous committees that seek to maximize the presence of the church within the community. He and his wife, Stacey, have two sons that both attend ACA.

Gary Vaughan is a Cyber Security manager for Northrop Grumman Corporation. He holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Information Systems from Auburn University. He and his wife, Summer, have two sons that both attend ACA. The Vaughan’s are members of Auburn United Methodist Church serving in various capacities such as leading small groups, ushering, and the hospital ministry.
