PE Volunteers Needed

There are a few December volunteer spots available for PE.

Christmas Program and Reception

We invite you and your family to join us at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 445 Shelton Mill Road, Auburn, on Thursday, December 7th at 6:00 for a wonderful time of Christmas celebration among our ACA families. The Christmas program will be held in the sanctuary. Students have enjoyed preparing this Christmas presentation and are excited to share it with you! Following the presentation we will gather in the fellowship hall to partake in desserts, coffee and hot chocolate. This event is a wonderful time of fellowship and fun! It’s success depends largely on volunteers. There are several volunteer spots remaining for our Christmas Reception.

We ask for students to come dressed in their Wednesday chapel attire. Please have your students in their seats in the front of the Covenant sanctuary by 5:30 that evening.   Students will be dismissed to their parents in the Fellowship hall prior to going through the dessert line (with their families).

Sewing Club

Registration for Spring semester sewing club is now open. Please contact Mrs. Lombardo should you have questions.

Free Screening

Auburn University is offering a free speech and language screening for children and adults on Friday, January 12, 2018. Please click or call for additional information.

Annual Cookie Walk

CALLING ALL COOKIE BAKERS!!! Do you want to help represent ACA by baking cookies for the 22nd Annual Cookie Walk to benefit Habitat for Humanity!? It’s ALMOST time to pre-heat those ovens!!! We will deliver handmade cookies to Grace United Methodist Church (by Kroger in Auburn) on Friday, Dec. 1, between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.! If you’re in the baking spirit email Mrs. Hayes and let’s plan a time to meet to deliver our cookies together and get pictures of the kids!

Cookies for Cops / Feast for Firemen

Friends, it’s time for the 3rd Annual “Cookies for Cops/Sweet Feast for Firemen”! We can’t leave out our community police and firefighters at Christmas! Nobody loves sweets more than these folks do! This one is self-explanatory… sweet treats (brownies, cookies, doughnuts for those of you who don’t bake, etc) in exchange for our kids getting to see the police cars and firetrucks!!! I think we come out ahead!! We’ll meet at Felton Little Park at 9:30am on Monday, December 18th and walk over together! It’s a come and go as you please event, if your kids don’t like firetrucks, you don’t have to stay to play on them! Contact Mrs. Hayes via email, in your family directory, if you would like to join in and be waited on for pictures. *ACA t-shirts/ACA Christmas shirts and jeans for this event!

Jingle Bell Mingle

Who’s ready for ACA’s 3rd Annual Jingle Bell Mingle?! We will once again be having piano concerts (with some additions) at area retirement homes featuring our talented ACA students. This year we would love to possibly add a group to sing Christmas Carols and have our students who play string instruments, or other instruments join in! We usually color and take Christmas cards for the residents and they all really seem appreciative! Contact Mrs. Hayes via email, in your family directory, to volunteer. WHO PLAYS AN INSTRUMENT!?! WHO HAS THE VOICE OF AN ANGEL!?! Mrs. Hayes is looking at the following dates for these events: (ALL in Dec.) 10th, 16th, 17th and/or 19th. How many we do will depend on involvement. Time commitment is about 1.5 hours start to finish. Times can be worked out to meet the needs of the majority! WHO CAN SING!?! YOU KNOW YOU CAN!!! Singing isn’t just for in the shower, folks!!! Come on, join us in making the holidays merry for those who are often the loneliest in our community! Mrs. Hayes is in contact with the communities and will share the exact dates and times ASAP! Be watching!

Through Monday, December 11, orders can be placed for January 2018. Visit to create a free account, choose meals and submit your order. Please see the detailed email that was sent out to families on November 14th for instructions on how to use this new system.

Our yearbook will be finalized in the last weeks for January. Special care is taken to represent each class in the yearbook. In order for this to happen, photos from class events are needed. If you have taken photos of class or school events please consider sharing those for the yearbook. Photos can be uploaded to LINK , a portal for our yearbook community. It is a site that links parents, and teachers to our yearbook project. LINK offers the team of volunteers designing the yearbook an efficient method of gathering and placing photos.
